The Santa Rita hills have the climate and soil that can lead to very good wine. Winemakers Peter and Rebecca Work of Ampelos Cellars have crafted several vintages of these exceptional wines. Peter and Rebecca are great friends of Outstanding in the Field. Everyone on tour (and it will have been a long tour at this point) will be pleased to arrive at such a wonderful place. Carl Staub returns as chef. Last year our event was in June, and we were worried about potential heat and wind. We ended up under the tent as it rained. We will see if we have better luck at grape harvest time in early November.
